Chase the Chill: Enid Edition

Join the movement to keep Enid warm this winter! The Enid Public Library will host several opportunities for you to create and donate hats, scarves, or mittens that will be donated to the cause. Items will be distributed to those in need through EPL’s mitten pantry and yarn bombing events. Learn to make fleece mittens on Thursday, November 9th at a drop in workshop from 4:00-6:30. Please bring a sewing machine (with bobbins) if possible. Fabric, patterns, and thread will be provided. Join us for one of two Crafters Drop In events on December 12 from 10:00-3:00 and December 21 from 2:00-6:00 and watch holiday movies while you stitch away on your Chase the Chill projects. Need some help getting started? The library will offer free knitting and crochet lessons from 10:30-12:30 on Saturday, December 9th. Yarn bombing events will be scheduled based on the weather. Follow us on Facebook for updates. The Chase the Chill events are appropriate for teens and adults.

So far we have 112 hats, 30 scarves, and 33 pairs of gloves/mittens ready to go out for distribution on 12/14/2017.
