Baby & Me

Parents and grandparents: join us for a new program, Baby and Me, in the Great Plains Room. This will be a short program that focuses on babies and caregivers, highlighting play time, music, and a short story.

SAIL: Staying Active

Staying Active and Independent for Life (SAIL) is a fitness program for older adults, which can be done sitting or standing. Performing exercise that improves strength, balance, and fitness is critical for staying active and reducing the risk of falls. This class meets twice a week on Wednesday and Friday.

Marquis James Room Tour

Tours include a discussion of our local history, who Marquis James was, and a look at the books from the James and Bass collection. Visitors will be able to learn how to use the resources available in the room.

Author Visit: Quraysh Ali Lansana

Emmy Award Winning, NAACP Image Award Winner, Peabody Award nominee poet, author, lecturer, and Enid High Alum, Q, will read his book A Gift From Greensboro. There will be reception and a book signing. Books generously provided by local donors.

Movie: Footloose

An urban teen moves to a rural town where dancing is out-lawed. He fights to hold a high school dance and falls in love with the daughter of the minister who is behind the dancing boycott. Popcorn and water will be provided. This movie is rated PG and runs 107 minutes.

Craft Drop-In

Stop by the children’s department and do a weekly craft that goes along with our Tuesday and Wednesday morning storytime. Or drop by to color and draw! Crafts are usually geared towards preschool and elementary school children. All are welcome!
