Enid Public Library to Host Third Annual Micronesian Cultural Celebration

The Enid Public Library is partnering with the Oklahoma Micronesian Coalition to host the Third Annual Micronesian Cultural Celebration. The event will take place Saturday, October 26, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the west side of the library lawn, weather permitting.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the vibrant cultures of the Marshall Islands through traditional Micronesian food, hands-on crafting activities, and lively performances showcasing the music and dancing of the Micronesian communities.

“We are thrilled to invite the community to our 3rd Annual Micronesian Cultural Celebration,” said Library Director Theri Ray. “The Library’s partnership with the Micronesian Coalition and the Iakwe Yuk Club provides a unique opportunity to learn about and celebrate our vibrant Garfield County Micronesian Community. The library is a place to learn and build community, and the Micronesian Cultural Celebration is a wonderful time to do both”

This free celebration aims to bring community members of all ages together to learn about and appreciate the rich heritage of Micronesian cultures.
