Enid Public Library Hosts Successful Author Fest, Recognizes Local Talent

The Enid Public Library welcomed a bustling crowd as it hosted its annual Author Fest, featuring 36 authors representing a wide spectrum of literary genres. From juvenile fiction to finance, poetry to horror, the event provided attendees with a rich tapestry of literary experiences.

The festival opened with the announcement of the winners of the Youth Design a Library Card Contest, a highlight of the day’s activities. Two talented individuals were honored with certificates presented by artist Jerry Bennett, adding an extra layer of recognition to the event.

In addition to the main attractions, attendees participated in various engaging activities, including a children’s storybook costume contest and a teen book spine contest, fostering creativity and community spirit.

Throughout the day, authors had the opportunity to showcase their works through readings and interactions with the public. Authors offered signed copies for sale, allowing enthusiasts to take home a piece of their favorite author’s legacy.

The turnout of attendees far exceeded typical Saturday statistics, underscoring the community’s enthusiasm for literary engagement. The success of this year’s fest has already sparked inquiries about future events, with several authors and attendees eagerly anticipating the next gathering.

Responding to the excitement, organizers confirmed that the 2025 Author Fest is already on the calendar for Saturday, April 19. Mark your calendars for another day of literary celebration and discovery at the Enid Public Library.
