Dive into Discovery: Library STEM Events Bring Learning to Life!
The Enid Public Library’s summer STEM events have been a hit, featuring engaging activities with wands, LEGO, cardboard, and more, and there’s still plenty of excitement to come!
Each Wednesday afternoon, young patrons have unleashed their creativity and imagination, leading to remarkable creations while developing essential skills. Recently, participants constructed Rapunzel’s tower using LEGO bricks, focusing on problem-solving and showcasing impressive architectural designs.
In a cardboard build event, attendees transformed simple boxes into fantastic creations. Equipped with cutters and tape, they crafted swords, jetpacks, crowns, houses, and guitars, all driven by their inventive thinking.
At the light-up wand workshop, aspiring engineers delved into electronics by assembling LED lights, batteries, and wires. This hands-on experience introduced fundamental engineering concepts, culminating in magic wands worthy of any fantasy tale.
The fun continues! Mark your calendars for the next STEM adventure on Wednesday, July 17, at 2:00 p.m. Mad Science OKC will lead an exciting exploration into the world of extinct creatures through interactive activities and experiments suitable for all ages.
Join us for big tracks and even bigger laughs!
