Public Library of Enid and Garfield County Offers Public Computer and Internet Access Following April 23 Tornado
April 24, 2026
After last night’s tornado, the Enid Public Library is available to support the community by providing public computer and internet access for residents who may need help connecting with family, accessing important information, completing insurance or assistance forms, or managing other urgent needs.
Available support includes:
Public computer access
Internet/Wi-Fi access
Printing of important documents, as available
The library understands that access to reliable internet and computer services can be especially important following a disaster. Community members are encouraged to use the library’s available public access resources as they work through recovery needs. The Enid Public Library will be issuing guest passes for computer usage to anyone over the age of 18, regardless of whether they have their ID, and will also cover the cost of printing documents related to disaster recovery.
For those in need of additional support, Oakwood Christian Church has opened its gym as a shelter for individuals who have lost their homes. The Chisholm Trail Expo Center is serving as a reunification center with assistance from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Red Cross. The Moose Lodge has toiletries available and will be serving a soft lunch today.
The library will be open during regularly scheduled hours. For more information, contact the library at 580-234-6313 or publiclibrary@enid.org.
