Library Card Sign-up Month!

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, a time to celebrate the resources and opportunities available with a library card. At the Enid Public Library, a library card provides access to more than 56,000 items, along with a wide range of digital resources and online services.

Cardholders can explore books, comics, manga, eBooks, audiobooks, movies, magazines, and more. The library’s digital collection also gives patrons access to resources they can use from home, including Libby and Hoopla. Libby provides access to eBooks and audiobooks, while Hoopla offers digital movies, TV shows, music, eBooks, audiobooks, comics and graphic novels.

A library card also provides access to online learning, research and career resources. Brainfuse JobNow offers live career assistance, resume help, and interview preparation. EBSCO provides access to research databases, articles, magazines, and other educational resources. Chilton Library offers detailed vehicle repair and maintenance information, including repair instructions, diagrams, and specifications. Transparent Language Online provides language-learning lessons and practice in more than 100 languages.

An Enid Public Library card is available at no charge to anyone who lives within 50 miles of Enid or works in Garfield County. Applicants must provide identification and proof of a residential or work address.

Library Card Sign-Up Month is an opportunity for new patrons to get their first card and for current cardholders to discover everything their library card has to offer.
