Jurassic Experience to close out Summer Reading at Enid Public Library
July 1, 2026
Families can travel back in time at the Enid Public Library during the Jurassic Experience on Friday, Aug. 7, featuring two interactive dinosaur programs.
The day begins at 10 a.m. with the Baby Dinosaur Encounter, recommended for children ages 3 to 6. Participants will meet life-size baby dinosaur puppets brought to life by a Dino Ranger, who will share fun facts about these prehistoric creatures. Children will have the opportunity to gently pet the dinosaurs and take photos during the interactive experience.
At 1 p.m., guests ages 5 and older are invited to return for the Tyrannosaurus Rex Encounter, where they will come face-to-face with Tiny, a life-size teenage tyrannosaurus rex. Guided by the Dino Ranger, participants will learn about one of history's largest predators while enjoying opportunities to interact with Tiny, pet the dinosaur, and take photos.
The Jurassic Experience concludes the library's Summer Reading program and performances, which was made possible in part through the support of a grant from Park Avenue Thrift.
