Enid Public Library Celebrates National Friends of Libraries Week
October 17, 2025
The Enid Public Library is proud to celebrate National Friends of Libraries Week, Oct. 19–25, by recognizing the invaluable contributions of the Friends of the Enid Public Library.
The Friends group is a community of library supporters, volunteers, and book lovers who are dedicated to strengthening and sustaining the library’s role in Garfield County. The Friends help ensure that library programs and staff have the resources they need to thrive.
Their support has made possible a wide range of programs, materials, and services at the library. This includes promoting early literacy through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, purchasing educational materials such as U.S. Citizenship Course resources, and helping fund library events and workshops.
Friends of the Library members play a hands-on role in many library activities, from sorting donated books and managing the Friends Book Sale shelves to assisting at events like AuthorFest, arts and crafts programs, cultural celebrations, and author talks. They also operate the Cleveland Trailhead Little Free Library and represent the library at community events such as First Friday.
Membership is open to the public for $10 per year, and all proceeds go directly toward supporting and enhancing library services.
The Enid Public Library is grateful for the dedication, time, and generosity the Friends of the Library give each year. Their continued support helps ensure the library remains a vital, welcoming space for the entire community.
