Public Art Quest Invites Community to Explore Local Art
August 4, 2026
The Enid Public Library invites the community to explore the world of public art during Public Art Quest on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026. Join artist Kelly Tompkins for an evening of creativity and hands-on artmaking as visitors experience indoor public art and create their own miniature public art pieces.
Participants can create at the library or take home a limited-pallet mini-mural kit. Each kit includes a 3x3 canvas with optional magnet backing, three colors of acrylic paint, and a small paintbrush. A limited number of 80 kits will be available.
A public art expo will be set up in the library lobby beginning at 5 p.m. While regular library services end at 6 p.m., doors will remain open until 7 p.m. for Public Art Quest participants, with visitors asked to remain on the first floor after 6 p.m.
All ages are invited to explore, create and bring a little public art to life.
