Library to Host Gmail Tips & Tricks Webinar for Older Adults
October 02, 2026
The library will continue its partnership with AARP this fall with another Senior Planet webinar focused on helping older adults build digital skills for everyday life.
The next session, “Gmail Tips & Tricks,” will take place Thursday, October 8, at 9:30 a.m. The program is free and open to the public.
This hands-on workshop will explore useful Gmail features that can make managing email easier and more efficient. Participants will learn how to use tools such as spellcheck, email formatting, inbox searching, signatures, and file attachments.
The session will combine demonstrations with hands-on practice, giving participants opportunities to try the features themselves and ask questions along the way. The workshop will not cover how to create a Gmail account.
Participants must already have a Gmail address and be comfortable sending and receiving emails. Attendees should bring their Gmail username and password and be prepared to sign in during the workshop.
The Senior Planet series offers accessible, beginner-friendly instruction to help participants feel more confident using technology in their daily lives. The series is designed with older adults in mind, however, anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to participate.
The library will also host “Intro to Managing Your Privacy,” a Senior Planet lecture-based class offered twice this month. The class will be held Monday, October 19, at 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, October 22, at 10 a.m. The class will cover topics including online privacy, tracking, browsers, password management, and voice assistants. More information about the class will be shared in a future announcement.
