Library Kicks Off 2026 Chase the Chill Initiative to Help Residents Stay Warm
October 27, 2026
The Enid Public Library is once again launching its annual Chase the Chill initiative to help keep residents warm throughout the fall and winter seasons. This community-driven program provides free cold-weather clothing to anyone in need.
Donations are now being accepted for this year’s program and will be hung on a clothesline on the west side of the library beginning Nov. 2. Anyone may take what they need.
The library can only accept new or handmade items for Chase the Chill. Accepted donations include new or handmade hats, scarves, gloves, mittens and socks. Used or secondhand clothing items cannot be accepted. Please make sure all donations meet these requirements before dropping them off.
Those interested in donating may bring contributions to the first-floor donation bin during regular library hours.
Chase the Chill has become a successful tradition and offers a simple way for community members to support their neighbors during the colder months.
