Enid Public Library to host After Hours Library Ghost Hunt
September 28, 2026
The Enid Public Library will host an After Hours Library Ghost Hunt from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, giving teens and adults ages 10 and older an opportunity to learn about paranormal investigation and explore the library after hours.
The evening will begin with Becky Ray, a writer, storyteller and paranormal investigator with Ghosts a Go-Go with Becky Ray. Ray will share personal experiences, demonstrate common ghost-hunting equipment and introduce participants to the basics of paranormal investigation.
Equipment demonstrations will include tools such as EMF meters, digital voice recorders, spirit boxes, and other equipment commonly used by paranormal investigators.
Following the introduction, participants will have the opportunity to put what they have learned into practice and investigate the library themselves.
Ray says she approaches paranormal investigation from a skeptical perspective, focusing on research, observation and evidence while remaining open to the possibility of unexplained experiences. She has more than 30 years of experience researching paranormal activity.
The event is open to teens and adults ages 10 and older. Minors must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Participants under 18 who do not have an adult caregiver present must have a signed parent permission card on file to participate.
Regular library services will cease at 5 p.m. Participants attending the Ghost Hunt should arrive at the library by 4:45 p.m.
