Enid Public Library Continues AARP Partnership with Online Privacy Lecture
October 16, 2026
The Enid Public Library will continue its partnership with AARP’s Senior Planet program this month with “Intro to Managing Your Privacy,” a lecture designed to help participants better understand online privacy and take steps to protect their personal information.
The lecture will be offered on two dates: Monday, Oct. 19, at 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. Both sessions will cover the same material. The program is free and open to the public.
The lecture will explore the difference between online privacy and security, how websites and advertisers track users across the internet, and ways to limit that tracking. Participants will also learn about privacy features in popular web browsers, app tracking settings on smartphones, password management, and privacy considerations when using voice assistants.
The program will offer practical tips to help participants make more informed decisions about their privacy while using technology in everyday life.
The Senior Planet series offers accessible, beginner-friendly technology education designed with older adults in mind. The programs aim to help participants build digital skills and feel more confident using technology.
