Each summer the library offers unique activities, classes, and events to promote summer reading for readers of all ages. This year the Adult Summer Reading events will happen in June. Using the theme “Libraries Rock!” the library will offer two rock painting workshops, two music-related movies, a special edition of “Art Journaling in the Stacks” set to music.

The Summer Reading Tic-Tac-Toe contest challenges readers to select and read books that fit categories on the game card. Complete a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line to be entered into a drawing for a book-lovers basket. Enter as often as you can without duplicating book titles. You may pick up additional Tic-Tac-Toe sheets from the reference office on the library’s second floor.

Completed music trivia and puzzle sheets will earn an entry into a drawing for a bag filled with books. One entry per person per puzzle sheet.

Place completed sheets in the drawing box located on the library’s first floor by noon on Saturday, June 30, 2018. Winners will be notified by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018.

You are on your honor to read the books before adding them to your Summer Reading Tic-Tac-Toe sheet. Cheating may invoke bad karma which may include sunburn, ants at your picnics, or attacks by mammoth mosquitoes.
