The library applied for and received a One More to Grow STEM Grant which was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library and sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries in the amount of $1500. This money allowed us to purchase additional materials for our makerspace and to expand our STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) program offerings.

We purchased

  • Bloxels for creating video games,
  • Pro HD cameras and animation studio for stop action photography and movie making,
  • Stikbot Studio Pro for stop action animation
  • coding blocks for OSMO,
  • a Sphero SPRK+ robot for coding
  • Ozobot robots
  • Arduino and Duino Jr kits for circutry
  • Circutry tape and stickers
  • Lego Base Plates
  • Vinyl sheets to use with the Cricut

We are very excited about how this will enhance our STEM programming for tweens and teens. Watch for these additions to our Full STEAM Ahead programs and other tween and teen activities.
