Show off your creativity at this year’s edible books contest on March 28, 2020.
What are edible books?
Edible books are completely edible creations that can look like:
- a book in form and shape,
- be inspired by by a book or author,
- be a pun of a book title,
- refer to a character in a book,
- reproduce a book cover,
- or have something to do with books in general.
How can I join in?
Registration forms with more information may be picked up at the Adult Services office on the 2nd floor.
Entries (and utensils to cut/carve/serve your creation) should be brought to the Red Earth Room, located on the 2nd floor of the library between 10 AM and 12:30 PM.
Cake Decorating Class before the contest!

How are the winners selected?
Judging happens by ballot and takes place from 1:00 – 4:00 PM the day of the Enid Author Fest, with sampling from 4:00 – 4:45 PM. Prize winners will be announced at 4:00 PM. Prizes courtesy of Putnam Six Bookstore.
Note: please stop by the room to pick up your serving dish and utensils by 5:15 PM.
Want to help out at Enid Author Fest? We are looking for volunteers!
Volunteer opportunities include greeter, runner, author luncheon, edible books contest, post-it note very short story contest, show set-up and take-down.
Most shifts last from 1-1/2 to 2 hours long and will still allow you to enjoy the festival. Each volunteer will also receive a free author t-shirt. Sign up here.
