Enjoy telling scary stories? Want to be part of a scary story anthology?

To celebrate All Hallow’s Read and our love of scary stories, we are inviting any area youth in 12 grade or under to help us create a book of scary stories!

Submissions must be the writer’s own work and no longer than 2,500 words. The best part? All submissions will be published (unedited) in a physical book that will be available in the library. We are also going to publish an ebook, perfect for sharing with family and friends!

Need a writing idea? We have set up an idea table to help! Submit your story by October 31st by emailing Ms. Theri at tray@enid.org or the library at publiclibrary@enid.org.

Hi! I am having my students write Halloween stories as an assignment and then I will be submitting to you the best ones. My students are all so excited about this! Several have asked me though if they will be able to get physical copies of the book if their stories are included for submission. Will those books be given to them, or will they be available for purchase by the students or by the schools?

This makes us so happy! We are so excited to hear your class is participating! We’ll have one physical book that’s available to read at the library. We’ll have the ebook available for free for anyone to download and access.
