Earn your Accredited High School Diploma @ the Library!

We’re excited to announce that the Public Library of Enid and Garfield County received a grant to offer the Excel Adult Online High School program to our community.

What is the Excel Adult Online High School program?

The program, provided to public libraries through Gale, is a 21.5 credit online high school completion program that offers an accredited high school diploma to adults who wish to prepare for entry into the workforce, further their careers, or attend college. There’s no cost to eligible students, 24/7 access to self-paced courses, with one-on-one tutoring sessions and support from success coaches offered. Participants will have 24 months to complete the program.

The library will be awarding five scholarships.

How Can I Apply?

Visit the Excel High School website and read the FAQs to decide if online learning and the coursework amount is right for you. If interested in the program, apply to enroll in the two-week Life Skills course. Participants must pass with at least a 70% or higher to be eligible. An interview process will follow before a scholarship is given to a participant.

Who May Apply?

Adults 24-years old or older who reside in Garfield County, Oklahoma are eligible to apply. Participants must also have an Enid Public Library card in good standing or be willing to apply for a library card.

What will the grant cover?

The grant will cover program tuition as well as laptops and hotspots for participants in the program.
