There are a lot of benefits to being in a book club. Meet fellow book worms, discover new genres and authors, share your favorite reads.
Want to join a book club, but don’t know where to start? Check out the four book clubs going on at the Enid Public Library!
Great American Bestsellers Book Club
Join us the first Tuesday of every month and read that bestselling classic you’ve been meaning to read. We explore the relationship between popularity and quality in American fiction with a different classic.
- 9/3: The Maltese Falcon by Dashiel Hammett
- 10/1: The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck
- 11/5: Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
- 12/3: How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
2nd Tuesday Book Club
This book club meets–you guessed it!–every 2nd Tuesday of the month. This book club introduces you to current and contemporary reads. The chosen book changes every month, and it can be picked up at the service desk a month before the book club date!
Here’s the list for upcoming months:
- 8/13: And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
- 9/10: The Summer Before the War by Helen Simonson
- 10/8: Dreamland Burning by Jennifer Latham
- 11/12: Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
Eat Your Words Cookbook Club
We’re very excited about this book club! Participants check out a recipe book at the library based on the month’s chosen theme. Then you make the recipe and bring it in for the whole group to try, having a mini-picnic at the library. It meets the 4th Tuesday of every month.
Discover that new cookbook or a new family favorite recipe! Don’t cook but would love to participate? We can help you find an easy no-cook recipe for you.
Fall Book Club: Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma

Join us for this scholar-led book discussion club at 6:30 PM. Books can be checked out at the first floor service desk.
