September is National Library Card Month

September is National Library Card Month.  It’s time to get excited about what your library card can do for you.  If you don’t have a card, stop by the service desk and get yours today.  During the month of September, we will be playing a bingo game.  Children, teens, and adults will want to stop by and pick up a bingo sheet and participate in our library card awareness program.  When you have completed a bingo, bring your sheet back to the library to receive a coupon.  Next, place your bingo sheet in the jar for a chance to win a basket of books.  We will draw a childrens, teen, and adult winner at the end of the month.   Your library is not just for checking out books!

What can your library card do for you?  Did you know that you can use it to check out ebooks?  Have you ever wanted to study your ancestors?  There are many data bases that we offer for free that can be accessed with your library card.  Did you know that you can login from home with your card and put books on hold or request them from our Inter Library Loan Service?  Need to use a computer?  Each patron can visit the library and get 90 minutes of free usage each day.  Wanting to see a movie over the weekend?  Check out our selection and enjoy one for free!  Empower yourself and increase your knowledge today by using or getting a library card!
